Jandiroba defeated Amanda Lemos via submission (armbar) at 4:48 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Jandiroba has zero power in her hands, and she's always going to be in trouble in prolonged striking battles, but her grappling game remains elite, even at age 36. It carried her to victory once again here. Virna is constantly pressuring her opposition, which allows her to end up in advantageous positions even if she isn't able to get takedowns. She landed just 1-of-5 takedowns against Lemos, but still had 6:27 worth of control time in a bout which lasted less than 10 minutes. The armbar which closed the show was a thing of beauty and her 14th career win via submission. For comparison's sake, she has one career via via knockout, and that came due to injury. With four straight wins on her resume dating back to May 2022, Jandiroba is closing in on title-implicating bouts at 115 pounds. In the meantime, she'll walk away with one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening.

Jandiroba is scheduled to compete against Amanda Lemos in a strawweight fight at UFC Vegas 94 on July 20, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
For Jandiroba's next fight, a win could put the Brazilian in line for a future title shot against UFC Strawweight Champion Zhang Weili. Among the division's top-five contenders, Jandiroba and Tatiana Suarez are the only ones the champ has not faced. She has defeated Lemos though, who is ranked No. 3 and coming off a win over Mackenzie Dern.
Secures third straight win
StrawweightUFC
March 31, 2024
Jandiroba defeated Lupita Godinez via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Atlantic City.
ANALYSIS
If you've seen one successful Jandiroba fight, you've seen them all. Virna is entirely reliant on her grappling game for success. She managed a pair of takedowns on nine attempts against Godinez but won this bout because she was consistently able to outmuscle Loopy at the point of attack, which is no small task because she was facing a credible opponent. Jandiroba's ceiling is severely capped by the fact she will be 36 years of age shortly and has just one knockout win in 23 professional bouts, but she's quietly won three straight dating back to May 2022, and all three have come against decent opposition (Godinez, Marina Rodriguez, Angela Hill).
Will fight Godinez
StrawweightUFC
November 28, 2023
Jandiroba will fight Lupita Godinez at a UFC event scheduled for March 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Jandiroba holds a three-inch reach advantage over Godinez and has won her previous two fights. However, Jandiroba's fight against Godinez will mark her first in nearly 11 months and second in nearly two years, so there is a chance the 35-year-old fighter shows a bit of rust.

Jandiroba has withdrawn from her scheduled bout with Tatiana Suarez on Aug. 5, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.car reports.
ANALYSIS
Jandiroba, who recently defeated Marina Rodriguez in May, has withdrawn from her scheduled fight against Tatiana Suarez due to undisclosed reasons. It is unclear what forced her withdrawal, or when the 35-year-old fighter will be able to return.

Jandiroba defeated Marina Rodriguez via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC 288 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Easy work. Exceptionally strong for her size and an excellent grappler, Jandiroba leaned on her wrestling in this fight, as expected. She connected on 3-of-7 takedown attempts, good for 12:02 worth of control time. Rodriguez never had a prayer of returning to her feet with Virna on top of her, resulting in a clear-cut unanimous decision victory for the soon-to-be 35-year-old Brazilian. Jandiroba has struggled with consistency, never winning more than three straight fights during her time with the UFC, although she has emerged victorious in three of her last four dating back to June 2021.
